Wendell B. Smith, III was born at 31 weeks weighing 3lbs 12 oz. He spent 5 weeks in the NICU but never looked back after graduating and joining his parents at home. Six years later, he finally became a big brother to younger brother Charlie who arrived at 25 week weighing 1 pound. Charlie spent 328 days in the NICU.
